To celebrate this day of culture, we’ve got five whacky and delicious cocktails to take your St. Patrick’s Day to a whole new level. And guess what – they’re all green!

Green Fizz Cocktail

Serves: 2

Ingredients

1 kiwi, peeled and cut in 1/4 slices
1/2 cored green apple, cut into 1/4 slices
60ml Midori, melon liqueur
60ml vodka
170ml carbonated water

Method

Fill two glasses with 2/3 ice before adding half of the apple and kiwi to each; work the apple slices into the ice. Pour 30ml of vodka and 30ml of Midori into each glass, then top with the carbonated water. Release flavour from the kiwi by breaking it up slightly. Serve with straws.

Cucumber Lime Punch

Ingredients

2 trays of ice
2 litre bottle lemon-lime carbonated drink
1 cucumber, thinly sliced
340ml frozen limeade
lime wedges for garnish

Method

In a large pitcher, add the ice, frozen limeade, and lemon-lime carbonated drink. Add the sliced cucumber and some lime wedges (keep some back for garnishing). Stir until the limeade melts. Leave to chill in fridge for 1 hour. Serve.

Leprechaun Kiss

Serves: 2

Ingredients

60ml Apple Sourz
30ml vodka
60ml lemon juice
280ml agave nectar/simple syrup
green food colouring
green sugar, for garnishing
lemon-lime carbonated drink
ice

Method

Wet the rim of the glasses and roll in green sugar so it sticks, and then fill glasses halfway with ice. In a cocktail shaker, mix together all the other ingredients and pour over the ice. Top with lemon-lime carbonated drink and serve with straws.

Midori Sour

Ingredients

110ml Midori
230ml Apple Sourz
110ml Sprite
30ml fresh
orange, lime, and lemon slices for garnishing

Method

Fill two tumblers with ice before adding half the sourz, Midori, lime juice, and Sprite to each one. Stir and garnish with orange, lime, or lemon wedge.

Pear Mint Mojito

Serves: 2

Ingredients

1 pear, chopped and peeled
10 fresh mint leaves
2 tablespoons agave nectar/simple syrup
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
500ml carbonated water or lemonade
100ml white rum
lime slices for garnishing

Method

At the bottom your glasses/pitcher, add the mint leaves, pear, lime juice, and agave before mixing. Add the carbonated water/lemonade and the white rum and slowly combine by stirring. Pour over ice and serve. Use mint leaves (or lime wedges) to garnish.
