Cheese is a very versatile food.  It’s used in tonnes of recipes and is used as a topping for many more.  But these cheese-centric recipes ensure that it’s the main attraction, not just another ingredient.  Give them a go and see which cheese recipe is your favourite.

Cheese Recipe List

Cheese and Potato Pie

One of the classic homemade comfort foods and one of the simpler cheese recipes.  This pie can feed up to six people and can be prepared and cooked in under an hour.  It’s a filling dish that is both cosy and has a little zing to it thanks to the mustard.

Macaroni Cheese

Macaroni cheese is one of my all-time favourite recipes, maybe even my favourite pasta bake.  It’s a favourite among all the children I know too.  It’s quick and easy to make and it can be tailored to suit your tastes, whether you want to add a bit of extra flavour or texture with mustard or breadcrumbs or make healthier with some vegetables.

Cheese cakeClassic Cheesecake

I love cheesecake, for years it’s been my go-to dessert when eating out.  If it was on the menu I was having it.  Now I don’t even have to leave the house with this classic cheesecake recipe.  Lots of cheesecake recipes require a water bath which can be intimidating to people with less cooking experience (like me!) You don’t have to worry about that with this recipe.  It takes a bit longer to finish, coming in at about 3.5 hrs but I think it’s worth it.

Swiss Cheese Fondue

Forget the melted chocolate with fruit and marshmallows, let’s bring cheese fondue back into circulation with this fondue cheese recipe.  This is a delicious dish that can be used as a starter or a dessert, or whenever the hell you want, go wild.  We used to have cheese fondue while camping, is that weird?

Grilled Goat’s Cheese Salad

For those wanting a cheese recipe that’s on the healthier side this salad is perfect.  This recipe takes just fifteen minutes to make so it’s a great option for a quick lunch.  It also tastes lovely with the perfect combination of tangy and sweet.  Plus, if you’re not keen on any of the flavours in the recipe there’s an alternative with roast beetroot and hazelnut.

Cheese and Onion Pasties

Pasties are a really convenient and tasty food to take on picnics or to the beach.  There are no sauces or utensils required, all you need are some freezer bags or Tupperware and you’re good to go.  Of course, pasties can have a variety of fillings, but this is one of the simpler ones as you don’t have to worry about cooking any meat and it’s vegetarian.

You’re probably feeling very cheesy right now, but hopefully it’s in the best possible way.
